Suzuki XL7

The XL-7 is Suzuki’s midsize SUV and Suzuki’s largest SUV. The first hint from Suzuki of the XL-7 was the XL6 concept unveiled at NAIAS 2000 that featured stylish looks and flexibility, and was considerably larger than the Grand Vitara. The XL-7 offers seating for seven, V6 power, and 4-wheel drive. For 2007 the all-new XL7 is bigger, bolder and more powerful than its predecessor. Evolved from the Suzuki Concept-X, which debuted at the 2005 North American International Auto Show, the 2007 XL7 evolves from a rear-wheel-drive, truck chassis into a crossover SUV that delivers a car-like ride.

After getting totally redesigned for 2007, the 2008 Suzuki XL7 adds a more affordable base trim, more standard equipment on the Luxury and Limited and new optional equipment to its lineup. Newly standard on the Limited is a remote start system and the rear-vision camera is also optional. The remote start system operates from as far as 60 meters (nearly 200 feet) — not only starts the vehicle via fob activation, but starts the climate control system — and, if temperatures are below 41°F – turns on the driver’s seat heater.
