The Focus is Ford's compact car that was redesigned for 2008 and is available as a 2-door coupe and a 4-door sedan The Focus was first introduced in 1998 in Europe and came to the U.S. for the 2000 model year.

The 2009 Ford Focus adds a new coupe version that incorporates changes for a sportier look, including new front and rear fascias, new roof spoiler and standard 17-inch aluminum wheels for the SES trim level. The 2009 Focus SES coupe equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission offers a power increase to 143 horsepower and a throatier exhaust note, due to sport-tuned exhaust. With a 4-speed automatic, the SES coupe delivers quicker acceleration because of a new final-drive ratio. Also for 2009, electronic stability control is a new option.
