Rolls-Royce Phantom

The Rolls-Royce Phantom is the first new model from the new Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as a part of the BMW Group. Phantom is a showcase of modern technology, featuring an aluminum space-frame with aluminum panels and composite front fenders, and follows the philosophy of Sir Henry Royce who said: “Strive for perfection in everything you do.” One of the pioneering marques in the automotive world was created when Englishmen Charles Stewart Rolls and Frederick Henry Royce joined forces in 1904. After taking a trip in a car that ran poorly and proved unreliable, Royce decided he could design a much better car, and did just that.

Rolls-Royce continues to build each Rolls-Royce Phantom with the details tailored to the new owner's specifications. The Phantom is now available with an extended wheelbase that adds an additional 10 inches of room for rear-seat passengers while only adding 160 pounds in additional weight. The Phantom Drophead Coupe, a two-door four-seat convertible will join the sedan, followed by the Phantom Coupe, scheduled to go into production in the summer of 2008.
